7
1 Description

8
Helpful Ruby routines for parsing orgmode files. The most
9 significant thing this library does today is convert orgmode files
10 to textile. Currently, you cannot do much to customize the
11 conversion. The supplied textile conversion is optimized for
12 extracting “content” from the orgfile as opposed to “metadata.”

14
2.1 2009-12-30: Version 0.5.1

15

16
Minor enhancement: Recognize lines starting with “:” as examples.

17
Minor enhancement: Recognize #+BEGIN_SRC as source blocks

18
Minor enhancement: Add “src” and “example” classes to
blocks.

22
Parse (but not necessarily use) in-buffer settings. The following
23 in-buffer settings are used:
24

25
Understand the #+TITLE: directive.

26
Exporting todo keywords (option todo:t)

27
Numbering headlines (option num:t)

28
Skipping text before the first headline (option skip:t)

29
Skipping tables (option |:nil)

30
Custom todo keywords

31
EXPORT_SELECT_TAGS and EXPORT_EXLUDE_TAGS for controlling parts of
32 the tree to export

33

34

35
Rewrite “file:(blah).org” links to “http:(blah).html” links. This
36 makes the inter-links to other org-mode files work.

37
Uses
tags inside table rows that precede table separators.

38
Bugfixes:
39

40
Headings now have HTML escaped.

41

42

43

44
2.3 2009-12-29: Version 0.4.2

45

46
Got rid of the extraneous newline at the start of code blocks.

47
Everything now shows up in code blocks, even org-mode metadata.

48
Fixed bugs:
49

50
Regressed smart double quotes with HTML escaping. Added a test
51 case and fixed the regression.

52

53

54

55
2.4 2009-12-29: Version 0.4.1

56

57
HTML is now escaped by default

58
org-mode comments will show up in a code block.

59

60
2.5 2009-12-29: Version 0.4

61

62
The first thing output in HTML gets the class “title”

63
HTML output is now indented

64
Proper support for multi-paragraph list items.
65
See? This paragraph is part of the last bullet.

66

67
Fixed bugs:
68

69
“rake spec” wouldn’t work on Linux. Needed “require ‘rubygems’”.

70

71

72

73
2.6 2009-12-27: Version 0.3

74

75
Uses rubypants to get better typography (smart quotes, elipses, etc…).

76
Fixed bugs:
77

78
Tables and lists did not get properly closed at the end of file

79
You couldn’t do inline formatting inside table cells

80
Characters in PRE blocks were not HTML escaped.
